Registration on our website is completely optional. If a customer chooses to register, the registration form requires contact information such as name, e-mail address and/or mailing address, if applicable. Providing demographic information (such as zip code, age, or income level) is completely optional. We use this data for internal purposes and also to tailor a customer's experience. Although Hugs Society maintains relationships with other companies and websites, we do not share specific customer information with an outside company. We may at times, however, provide aggregated information about our total customer base and demographics.

We use the contact information from the form to fulfill requests and orders, and to send information and promotional materials about our company. All surveys and contests are optional. Surveys may ask customers for demographic information, Web browsing habits and other preferences. We run contests on our site in which we ask visitors for contact information. The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. At registration, we give customers the opportunity to decide not to receive future communications. At anytime, customers may ask us to remove their information from our database or discontinue sending future communications.
Any information a customer provides us will not be sold, rented or shared with third parties without permission. In the event of lost and found pet submission notices and pet adoption requests, the customer, by clicking the Submit button, authorizes us to share the information provided through the online form with our OFTAnet for the purpose of finding the lost/found pet's guardian or to request a pet adoption. When contact information is required, we have the option of denying service if such contact information is not provided.
